Why Join Rowing?
Rowing is a full-body exercise and is a great way to build aerobic fitness, strength, and mental resilience. Every child competes and plays a vital role in the boat. There are no bench-warmers in our sport, which helps athletes form life-long friendships from working towards a common goal.
As kids grow in high school and look towards colleges, there are many athletic scholarships available for rowers. Olentangy Rowing Club athletes have been recruited to many DI and DIII rowing programs. Coaches can help kids build recruiting profiles to get recruited to prestigious programs.
Olentangy Rowing Club also offers kids many opportunities to serve our community. If your child needs service hours for school, they can get involved in the upkeep of our team outside of practice.
